Laois County Council is delighted to announce that The National Directorate for Fire and Emergency Management (part of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage) has given approval for the Council to invite tenders for the construction of a new, state-of-the-art, 2-bay Fire Station in Stradbally.

This was the scene in Newtownards, County Down Tuesday night 25th March where emergency services attended the scene of an extremely serious fire. The blaze had taken place at a fold, I understand there are several casualties being treated at the scene. ~Kevin Scott

Dublin Firefighters responded to a commericial fire in Lucan on Sunday 23rd March. Firefighting operations continued the next day as five fire engines remained at the incident. DFB took water from the River Liffey to supply the fire ground and the lower Road was closed as a result. ~@DubFireBrigade X

Firefighter/Paramedics from Blanchardstown fire station, along with colleagues in Kildare Fire Service from Leixlip fire station and National Ambulance Service responded to a road traffic collision in Leixlip Friday morning 7th March.
