County Kildare 7th October 2022

Image:

Fire crews from Kildare and Laois fire services' responded to an industrial fire in Athy, County Kildare in the early hours of Friday 7th October. It is understood large amount of rubbish were kept on-site which caught fire. Fire crews remained on scene into the early morning.



County Longford 19th September 2022

Dublin 13th September 2022

Firefighters fought a large fire at a recycling facility in Saint Margarets on Tuesday 13th September Three fire engines and the foam & environmental unit were dispatched to the scene and assistance was offered by Dublin Airport Fire & Rescue Service in the form of one of their RIFTs Appliances and crew

Firefighters worked with the facility's staff to break the piles with hydraulic grabbers so firefighters could extinguish the fire. The fire was first reported just after 11pm. ~@DubFireBrigade Twitter

Firefighters from Finglas and Phibsborough fire stations were called to a mobile home fire Saturday night 3rd September. On Tuesday night 30th August, multiple 999 calls reported a large volume of smoke visible across South Dublin. Firefighters in breathing apparatus supported by a turntable ladder and water tanker were able to bring the fire under control. Dublin Firefighters were called to a house fire on the N11 Stillorgan Dual Carriageway on Thursday 18th August. Three pumps, a 30-metre turntable ladder, a District Officer and a water tanker were ordered to the scene. The fire was well developed when Firefighters arrived. The house was unoccupied and derelict. There were no injuries. Some traffic lanes were closed while firefighting took place. ~Dublin Fire Brigade



County Carlow 14th August 2022

The road to the 9 Stones from the Bunclody / Myshal side was closed for a number of hours Sunday morning 14th August as Carlow fire crews dealt with a large gorse fire. Fire crews spent a number of hours battling the fire and where assisted for a time by the Irish Air Corps helicopters who deployed Bambi bucket drops to the area. Fire crews where then photographed leaving the scene once the fire was under control and en route to fight another reported gorse fire near Drumphea.

A multi agency response Tuesday evening 26th April after reports of people stranded by an incoming tide in Sandymount, Dublin. Water rescue trained firefighters deployed a rescue sled to the scene. A Ryanair Aircraft seen getting towed to stand after a master over heat warning in the brakes on Sunday 21st February. Pilots requested full emergency evacuation but ground services said there was no need after Dublin Airport Fire Crews checked the undercarriage.

Scene from a fire at a vacant industrial unit in Santry in Dublin. Five pumping appliances and a turntable ladder attended the incident. Firefighters remained on scene for several hours to contain the blaze.

At 00:30hrs on Wednesday 7th October Firefighters were called to a HGV on fire on the M50 Motorway (M1) outside the Dublin Port Tunnel. Multiple units attended including the Foam Tender from HQ.
