Major Fire at Metal Recycling Plant in Limerick City

Firefighters from Limerick Fire & Rescue Service assisted by Firefighters from Clare Fire & Rescue Service attended the Major Fire in a scrap yard on the Ballysimon Road in Limerick City on Thursday 4th May. Fire Crews received the call just after 3pm and the Fire was brought under control around 7pm. ~@LimerickFire Twitter

Firefighters seen attending a second Commercial Fire in Limerick City on Friday 5th May in the space of 24hrs. 3 Units from Limerick City, 2 Units from Shannon (County Clare) and 2 Units from Rathkeale (Limerick) fought this Major Fire which started at around 11.00hrs. No reports of any injuries.
