Firefighters were called to a one vehicle road traffic collision in the Holyland area of Belfast this afternoon. They rescued the driver from the vehicle and she was taken to hospital by Northern Ireland Ambulance Service ~NIFRS Official Twitter

Monaghan Fire Crews attended the scene of a Multi Vehicle RTC on the N2 earlier today. 6 Vehicles were involved and 3 people had to be extracted from Vehicles. Monaghan Fire Authority, National Ambulance Service, Gardai & the Irish Air Corps Aeromedical Helicopter attended the scene.

Second RTC of the day in Omagh District. Both required us to assist our colleagues in Northern Ireland Ambulance Service by using Rescue cutting equipment to rescue casualties. Our colleagues in PSNI Strabane ensured our crews' safety by closing the road and diverting traffic. Both incidents had significant injuries but had the potential to have been much worse.

Fire crews from Northland and Crescent Link Fire Stations responded to a report of a single car RTC on the Culmore Road in Belmont, Derry / Londonderry on Monday 20th January. Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release a man in his 50s from the vehicle. He was transported to hospital by ambulance.

Fire crews from Springfield and Central stations responded to a road traffic accident which involved 2 cars on Lanark Way in the Shankill area of Belfast. Firefighters released 2 men in their mid 40s while another 2 casualties were classed as ‘walking wounded’ and left the car before arrival of FRS. The casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Four fire appliances attended the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on the Falls Road near to the Beechmount Avenue junction on Friday 27th September. Two taxis, a van and a car were involved with a total of five people being trapped and needing release by firefighters. 

Ten people, seven males and three females, suffered a range of injuries, a number of these being classed as serious. The casualties were taken by ambulance to the Mater and Royal Victoria Hospitals.

The scene of an incident in which a lorry over turned at Derrybeg Cottages just off the Camlough Road close to the Egyptian Arch. It appears the lorry was attempting to place a skip on to the back of the lorry when it became unstable causing the lorry to flip over on it's side. The driver of the lorry had to be cut free from the cab by members of the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.

A 47-year-old man has died after a car crashed outside a charity shop in east Belfast. The incident, which left three people injured, happened about 12:00 BST on the Woodstock Road. It is understood a car came off the road and hit two pedestrians and a woman on a mobility scooter. The police said the man who died had been driving the car. His death is not thought to have been as a result of the crash, but due to a medical condition.

Four people were taken to hospital (Tuesday 24/4/12) on the N15 near Donegal town. Three vehicles, two cars and a van, were involved in a collision which occurred at approximately 3.50pm at the turn-off for Lough Eske in Clar.

Four ambulances attended, along with the fire service and gardaí from Donegal town. A garda spokesperson said four people were taken by ambulance to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

The scene from Belfast on Monday 14/08/2011 where a double decker bus crashed into a wall ending up on its side near Central Train Station. 31 people required hospital treatment including a baby, children and a pregnant woman. The driver had to be cut free by Firefighters.
