Scene of a single vehicle RTC at Salthill, County Galway on Wedesday 2nd March. The car which had two occupants ended up in the water. Galway City Fire Station red watch and city retained attended the scene along with National Ambulance Service and Gardai. No serious injuries reported.

Irish AirCorps Aeromedicial Helicopter "Aircorps112" attended the scene of multiple vehicle collision on N5 in County Mayo Monday afternoon 20th August. Youngest victim involved was just 3 months old (although thankfully uninjured).

County Galway 23rd January 2018

Tuesday 23rd January 2 of Galway Ambulance Service Emergency Ambulances, crewed by Paramedics and Advanced Paramedics, responded to a two car RTC in Spiddal, Galway.

Two patients were treated on scene for minor injuries, extricated with the assistance of Fire and Rescue Galway, and transported by ambulance to the Emergency Department. An Garda Síochána were also in attendance and assisted the Fire Service in fending off the scene to provide a safe working environment from passing traffic. ~Galway Ambulance Service Facebook

Scene of a Major single vehicle RTC on the M6 Motorway near Ballinasloe, County Galway on Monday 13th November. An artic truck crossed over the Motorway to the opposite side ending on its side and shedding its load. Thankfully there were no injuries but both sides of the motorway was closed for a number of hours. 



County Mayo 10th November 2017

One of our crews along with four other Frontline Ambulances and an ICV from Mayo attended an RTC ( Road Traffic Collision ) in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo Friday evening 10th November. Seven patients were treated at scene by Paramedics, Advanced Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians for non-serious injuries and transported to both Mayo General Hospital and University College Hospital Galway for further treatment. Car left the road crashing into the river below. 1 person was in the car and was out upon arrival of Emergency Services. Galway Fire & Rescue SRT Firefighters searched the car just in case anyone else was inside. In attendance was Alphas 1, 2 & Bravo 1 also National Ambulance Service and Gardai.

Scene from an incident involving a truck that hit a railway bridge on bridge street in Gort before rolling over on top of a van. Units of the fire service from Gort,National Ambulance Service and Gardaí attended the incident. The driver of the van was able to escape through the passenger door of the van and was removed to hospital by Ambulance for treatment.

County Leitrim 17th July 2012

An accident on the old Dublin Road in Carrick-on-Shannon on Tuesday, July 17th at approximately 5pm brought traffic to a standstill in the county town. Two cars were involved in a collision which caused huge disruption with traffic backed up on approach roads to the town for some considerable time.


Emergency services attended the scene of the accident and it is not believed anyone was seriously injured.

County Sligo 2012

Fire services & gardai on scene shortly after an accident which happened in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday, after a truck and its trailer overturned. They cordoned off a section of the N4 road close to the Carraroe fly-over.

Southbound traffic was diverted up the sliproad to the Carraroe roundabout to rejoin the N4. It is believed the Sligo-registered 4x4 which was towing a livestock trailer lost control on the dual carriageway and collided with the central reservation barrier.
