Tallaght firefighters were called to vehicles alight on a premises in Cherry Orchard Industrial Estate in the early hours of Tuesday 29th April. Crews in breathing apparatus used two high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire and prevented any further spread. ~@DubFireBrigade X



County Meath 17th April 2025

A major fire at a recycling centre in Co Meath has been brought under control. The fire broke out at Thornton's Civic Amenity Facility in Dunboyne Industrial Estate last night. Smoke could be seen billowing from the recycling centre this morning and could be smelt on approach to the town. Several units of the Meath County Council Fire and Rescue Service worked through the night to bring the blaze under control after the alarm was raised shortly after 10pm.

Carlow Fire Services swiftly responded to a grass fire at the site near (across the road from) Éire Óg Club. The fire, which had spread across a grassy area and towards the rear of the club grounds, was quickly brought under control thanks to the prompt actions of two fire service units. ~All About Carlow

Dublin City 23rd March 2025

Dublin Firefighters responded to a commericial fire in Lucan on Sunday 23rd March. Firefighting operations continued the next day as five fire engines remained at the incident. DFB took water from the River Liffey to supply the fire ground and the lower Road was closed as a result. ~@DubFireBrigade X

Firefighters were called to a gorse wildfire on the Dublin mountains in Glencullen on Thursday night 20th March. Two fire engines remained on scene overnight and the fire is causing a haze on nearby roads. ~@DubFireBrigade X
