Below are Photos following the aftermath of Storm Frank which came ashore in late December 2015. Strong winds and heavy rain where followed by Major Flooding in many Parts of the Country which continued into January 2016

County Monaghan 4th January 2016

Castleblayney Fire Service seen here assisting National Ambulance Service with patient who was stranded in his home due to flood waters. Irish Coast Guard Helicopter also responded and airlifted the patient to hospital.



County Carlow 3rd January 2016

Swift Water Rescue Firefighters from Carlow Town Fire Station with the help of a local farmers tractor yesterday rescued a motorist from flood waters in the county



County Tipperary 2nd January 2016

Tipperary Fire & Rescue Swift Water Rescue Team were called to a vehicle that got stuck in the Flood Water at the Apple Green Garage on the Dungarvan Rd in Clonmel on Saturday 2nd January



County Kildare 2nd January 2016

Firefighters from Finglas in Dublin seen attending at split tree earlier today following Strong Winds accompanying Storm Frank. Hydraulic spreaders were used to hold the tree together until it could be felled safely

Whilst Crews from Tallaght attended the Aras na Cluaine Apartments in Clondalkin where the roof was blown off. No injuries were reported



County Cork December 2015

Fire Crews were on scene in Bandon, County Cork where the town suffered major flooding following Storm Frank



County Kildare December 2015

The R417 Road at Maganey (between Athy and Carlow at the Three Counties), flooded earlier and became impassable. Kildare Fire Service's Crew from Athy (KE13) placed closure and warning signs on approach



Northern Ireland December 2015

Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service Firefighter seen helping a local out of flood waters following Storm Frank. NIFRS attended 35 calls & rescued 18 people stuck in flood water by 3pm Wednesday 30th Dec following Storm Frank
